Sunday Morning Formation Continues

Every Sunday, 10:15-10:45am
If you go to the 9am mass, plan on staying for a bit afterwards so that your children can attend formation each week. If you go the 11am mass, make it a habit to show up a bit early.

The Blessing of Homes

This month’s formation packet discusses the practice of the blessing of homes during the Epiphany season. Fr. Steve and Fr. Luke are happy to come bless your home at any time, and this is an especially impactful service for children and it helps them see their own home as a holy and sacred space. The formation packet also provides a service that can be done without a priest if desired. Having children participate in this service is a wonderful idea.

Looking Ahead

February 2 — Candlemas

February 19 — Next Monthly Family Formation

Almighty God, our heavenly Father, who settest the solitary in families: We commend to thy continual care the homes in which thy people dwell. Put far from them, we beseech thee, every root of bitterness, the desire of vainglory, and the pride of life. Fill them with faith, virtue, knowledge, temperance, patience, godliness. Knit together in constant affection those who, in holy wedlock, have been made one flesh. Turn the hearts of the parents to the children, and the hearts of the children to the parents; and so enkindle fervent charity among us all, that we may evermore be kindly affectioned one to another; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
