The spiritual life must have silence to develop. In the world today, there is a lot of speaking, but not a lot of listening. Let us come in the still of the evening and sit before the sacramental presence of Our Lord. Listen to the still small voice of the Holy Spirit. Let us pray for the world and reflect on our own participation in the cacophony of spiritual noise. This hour will be be silent. No preaching, no speaking, just silence and at the close of the hour, Benediction.
