We are very excited to welcome Simon Bland this weekend for a month-long internship. Simon is a seminarian at St Stephen’s House, Oxford, a theological college for the Church of England. He will preach at all 3 masses on Sunday, August 2. He will also preach on occasion on Wednesdays at noon and the daily mass. He will lead one of the lectionary Bible studies. He will spend a day with Lea Thullbery at City with Dwellings and will go behind the scenes with SSJOA, plus much, much more. In addition, we look forward to welcoming him to our parish community. He doesn’t know this yet, but we will take him tubing down the New River and who knows, maybe even a Saturday Night at Bowman Gray?? I know you will warmly welcome him and be a bright light of encouragement as he trains for the priesthood. He arrives this Friday and will depart on August 4.

I would like to call your attention to something new this month - a mid-year parish meeting on Wednesday, July 22 at 6pm in the ECW. This will be an informal and unofficial parish meeting where you can hear from the vestry, clergy, and staff about what has happened the first half of the year, including updates and information on our financials, facilities, and ministries.
