  • How long have you been at St. Timothy’s?

I started attending  in summer 2012, but officially transferred my membership in 2018.

What is your favorite liturgical feast?

Traditionally, I would have always quickly responded with Christmas Eve (especially the candle light singing of Silent Night), but as I've grown, the transition and transformation between Palm Sunday and Easter Sunday are especially striking to me and resonate in their importance of Christ's sacrifice. (Also, as anyone who has kept a child entertained in a pew on Christmas Eve can attest, balancing a flickering flame and a  live-wire preschooler increasingly becomes an act of patience, grace, and a few extra prayers that their guardian angel is on duty so they don't catch the church on fire!)

Which passage of Scripture have you found impactful recently?

    Genesis 50:20

"You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good" (As a New Years resolution, I have set out to read the Bible in a year, so I have been spending a lot of time in the Old Testament so far.) Do we as individuals and as a parish have the patience and persistence to see the light of God's plan in the dark? Are we able to call on Him and trust Him through pain and suffering to extend mercy, grace, and forgiveness?  How can we find and recognize Him working in our daily lives so that we may confidently share the Good News with others even when we feel small or insignificant on the whole- no person, or parish in this case, is too small to work for God when you are open to receive Him- look how much we already do!

How are you involved in the life of our parish?

Regularly attend 9am Sunday Mass, active in Children's Formation and Choir, support the missions of the church like Our Lady of Salem and St Michael's through works (usually with baking/ crafts/ donations kids can be involved in to understand the importance and spiritual value of uplifting others- I call it finding moments in the mess- weaving an understanding of our life in Christ through a regular day, not just Sundays), as well as in prayer for our missions and impact in our community.
