Music for Palm Sunday

We are pleased to have trumpeter Hannah Markun joining us for our Palm Sunday Procession and Mass. The choir’s anthems today are “Hosanna filio David” by Tomás Luis de Victoria and “God so loved the world” by John Goss. The hymns will begin with the festive “All glory, laud, and honor” and end with the solemn “Ah, holy Jesus.” We will sing the prayerful final verse a cappella and exit the church in silence to lead us into Holy Week: “Therefore, kind Jesus, since I cannot pay thee, I do adore thee, and will ever pray thee, think on thy pity and thy love unswerving, not my deserving.”
