Our Lady of Salem Shelter News - January 13

Shelter news & supply needs

  • Thank you Laundry Angels
The people of St. Timothy’s make sure that we can open our doors to the most vulnerable women among us. One thing we generate a lot of is laundry! So grateful to Gini Gerrity who leads St. Tim’s team of Laundry Angels: Sally Cowgill, Susan Elsner, Margaret Blair, Mary Elizabeth Craig, Rhea Wilkins, Richard Graves, and Ellen Turner. And a big thank you to Andy and Margaret Blair for purchasing new laundry machines. They make a huge difference!

  • Volunteer!
We have lots of open spots. Visit here to sign up.

  • Breakfast Items and Snacks
When the temperature drops precipitously, we keep our guests a little longer in the morning. We would love to provide some breakfast items. If you’d like to offer muffins, Lil’ Debbie cakes, donuts, packets of oatmeal/grits, etc, please drop off in the cabinet in front of the church office.

  • Our Lady will also stay open until 11 am on Monday, the Martin Luther King holiday, because nothing is open. We could use some additional snacks (individual bags of chips, packets of tuna/chicken with crackers, vienna sausages, bananas, oranges, etc) and drinks (sweet tea, soda pop). Please drop off in the cabinet in front of the church office. Thank you so much!
