Serving at Mass

The Guild of Blessed Alcuin is the St Timothy’s community that provides altar servers and lectors for each mass.

To be a member of the Guild,

• you need to be at mass on a regular basis (not just when you serve or read). Serving is a privilege that flows out of our weekly participation in the Holy Eucharist.

• for altar servers, some physical ability is assumed, such as genuflection, and being able to walk and carry something at the same time. For youth, servers need to be in at least the 6th grade.

• Members of the Guild are scheduled each month, according to their availability.

• No prior experience is necessary. All training and the outfitting of cassock and cotta will be provided.
